KASSEL – RIGHT IN THE CENTRE OF GERMANY

Kassel is reachable by road from the Ruhr (Dortmund, Düsseldorf etc.) and Rhine-Main (Frankfurt) metropolitan regions, from Hanover and Leipzig within 2 hours, using the A4, A5, A7, A38 and A44 motorways. High-speed trains (ICE) stop at Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe, thereby linking Kassel with almost every major German city. Kassel-Calden Airport is located just 20 minutes from Kassel city centre and is linked to the A7, A44 and A49 motorways.

A shuttle bus service will link the airport with the ICE train station at Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe. Integration into the regional tram (RegioTram) network is also being planned.
